Overview
At Tech Shack, we strive to provide accurate descriptions and high-quality vintage computers, parts, and electronics. Due to the age and nature of these items, they are often sold "as-is" with inherent risks of functionality issues. However, we comply with eBay's buyer protection policies and offer the following terms to ensure a fair experience.
- Return Window: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. This aligns with eBay's standard requirements and allows sufficient time for inspection.
- Eligibility for Returns:
- Returns are accepted if the item is not as described, damaged during shipping, or arrives non-functional (e.g., dead on arrival).
- Items listed as "for parts or not working" are eligible for returns only if they significantly deviate from the described condition.
- We do not accept returns for buyer's remorse, compatibility issues, or user-induced damage.
- Condition of Returned Items: Items must be returned in the same condition as received, including all original components, packaging, accessories, and documentation. For electronics, we may require serial numbers or photos to verify authenticity and prevent substitutions. If the item shows signs of tampering, use, or missing parts, we reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee (up to 20%) or deny the refund.
- Return Process:
- Contact us via eBay messaging or our site to initiate a return, providing order details, reason, and photos if applicable.
- Ship the item back to PO Box 337 Pembine WI, 54156 using a trackable method. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item sent).
- Upon receipt and inspection (typically within 5 business days), we will issue a full refund to the original payment method, minus any applicable fees.
- Refunds:
- Full refunds include the item price and original shipping costs (if applicable).
- Partial refunds may apply for items returned in diminished condition.
- Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after approval.
- Exchanges: Exchanges are available for identical or similar items if stock permits, subject to the same conditions as returns.
- Exceptions: Custom or modified items, software, and consumables (e.g., batteries) are non-returnable. International returns may incur additional customs fees, for which the buyer is responsible.
